Welcome to MRA

The purpose of the network is to strengthen capacity building on MRA among risk managers, risk assessors and others in countries in Asia. The key benefits of a regional risk assessment network can be identified as:

  • Strengthening intra-regional contacts
  • Improving coordination and development of risk assessment activities and approaches
  • Facilitating dissemination of risk assessment tools and materials
  • Improving access to regional training opportunities (e.g. as funded by Food Standards Australia New Zealand)
  • Strengthening professional development in the region
  • Developing a sense of ownership by national collaborators
  • Improving the profile of risk assessment activities in the region with donors
